Description
Hi Hosts and fellow Workawayers,
I'm an open-minded, mature and responsible person . I travel a lot and used to live long term in four different countries on three continents, which allowed me to engage with people and communities from different cultures and to learn recipes for dishes from all around the world.
I love nature, gardening and cooking. I have some experience with power tools and light construction work. I also teach English.
By profession I paint, draw and work with ceramics. I'm an art teacher, a children's book illustrator.
I don't smoke, drink or use any recreational drugs. I have a quiet nature, but I very much enjoy company of others, especially through sharing experience and knowledge in a fun and creative way.
Presently I reside in Europe, but prior to coming here I spent almost two years on Kauai Island, HI working as a gardener and landscaper on an organic farm. I'm familiar with processing fruits and veggies like bananas, avocados, papayas, cassava and taro.
I'm citizen of both Poland and the USA.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I'm a professional artist and an art teacher, so I have an experience in teaching art to children and adults. By occupation I write and illustrate children books. I'm also passionate about ceramics and prefer to live in a place with a pottery studio nearby. For the last year and half I've been living on an organic farm on Kauai island, HI, so I also gained a lot of experience in plant care and fruit tree care as well as permaculture. I love gardening and sustainability approach. I'm a good cook and familiar with many worldly cuisines as I lived in number of different countries. I speak English, Polish and some Russian and now I've been learning Spanish and Italian. I'd be happy to help with any activities around the house, house-sit, dog/cat-sit, cook, help with a garden, teach children, help with computer skills on intermediate level, drive around and do errands (I can drive manual transmission cars in both right and left-hand traffic).
