Hi, I’m Emily :) a French and British girl looking to travel all over the world before I start my studies and learn a few new languages along the way !
I love meeting new people in many different countries and making friends with whom I can speak many different languages.
Overall I’m a pretty easygoing and independent girl. I’m only 18 but I have already done a lot of solo travelling and volunteering. So no worries, you won’t be welcoming and irresponsible child into your home ;)

My favourite hobbies are: reading, walking, sightseeing, cooking and eating, writing, playing the piano ( I used to play when I was young and would love to start playing again! ).
I absolutely adore cats ❤️ and would love to stay in a cat loving family !

To sum up my vision for this year : the more your plan is precise, the more chances there are of you being disappointed. Basically, I go with the flow, I don’t overplan things. I like to see where life leads me and make the most of every single moment, of every single serendipity :) ☀️

Languages are my passion, i love them! Of course I am interested in teaching English or French or even Spanish ( I’m now fluent after my three months in Costa Rica ) I have experience in teaching languages, whether it be big groups, small groups, or just one person. I would really love to learn Italian in order to speak 4 languages fluently!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My passion is languages. I’m great at learning and teaching them :) . I was a volunteer English teacher in San Jose in Costa Rica for 3 months and also do private online English and French tutoring. So if you’re looking to improve your English, French and even Spanish skills , I’m the right person for you .

I worked for a few months in a restaurant and catering business so I’m very good at attending clients and making them feel welcome, handling very busy and hectic shifts, working very long days, making drinks and serving food.

I am also good at any household chores like cleaning, washing etc. None of those bore me as long as I have my music :) I worked in a packaging company for a month so I can handle very long, tedious and repetitive tasks!

I really enjoy cooking ( as long as I also have my music haha ). It would be a pleasure to cook some typical French meals for my host family ! I am also very interested in learning typical dishes from the regions where I’ll be travelling to.

I renovated 2 houses with my mother and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m good at painting, assembling furniture, cleaning out old houses etc

As for outdoor tasks, taking care of the garden or animals…. Sure ! I’m up for anything :) if you show me, I’m a very fast learner.

I am a writer at soul ✍️
I love languages, words, reading and especially writing. I have a diary I write in every day and would love to become a writer. This is something I would really like to share and use to connect with my host families. If any host families have keen writers in them, please contact me, I would love to share that passion with you ! :)

My only objective so far in life : change the world ! It seems a little idealistic, I know … but I genuinely hate the injustice present in today’s society and will try my best to change that. After my travels I would like to study politics and international relations to achieve my goal of changing the world ! I would love to chat with anyone who shares my ideals, beliefs and objectives.
