Hey, I'm Eric! I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York City

I enjoy living in the city but I try to get out as often as possible, to see nature and explore new cultures.

For hobbies, I love biking, skating, swimming, running, saunas, and anything that'll get my heart pumping...I recently picked up yoga and I try to do it as often as possible.

I'm an artist of many mediums, (Filmmaking, Music making, Drawing, Poetry, Painting, Sculpting) and I've recently been teaching myself how to build furniture.

I practice meditation and mindfulness regularly. I once did a weekend retreat at a Buddhist monastery and it changed my life. The experience taught me the value of living in the moment and appreciating every aspect of life, even the boring ones.

My life dream is to build my own home. I hope to find Workaway programs that can introduce me to new friends with eco-building skills so that one day I can make my dreams come true

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have professional carpentry skills. I currently work as a carpenter on a TV show - my job entails building film sets. I build walls, windows, staircases, and more. I'm comfortable with using all types of power tools.

I also build furniture with scrap wood ( that otherwise would be thrown in the garbage! ) It's an incredibly rewarding feeling to salvage what is considered garbage and make art with it. Woodworking is a very meditative process for me because it forces me to work with precision every step of the way. If you rush, or do one step poorly, it will catch up to you in the final design.

Aside from woodworking, I love painting, plastering, working with my hands and voice, and constructing. I've always wanted to build a Mosaic - I hope to find a work program that would allow me to do so.

Regardless, I'm prepared to help out on your program in any way whether it be building, gardening, cooking, cleaning, or feeding the cats/dogs, you name it...I'll do it all with a smile on my face! :)
