Hi, my name is Fabian. I am from Hamburg, Germany and currently in Australia on a working holiday visa.

I love meeting new people and learning new skills while travelling. I enjoy being in nature, having good conversations, and just seeing new places.

Hi ! My name is Paul, I’m 22 years old, and I was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany.

I spent the first 21 years of my life there, but since last August, I’ve been traveling through Southeast Asia. Along the way I realized that what makes me happy is exploring new places, meeting new people and embracing new experiences.

I’m most motivated when I get to spend time outdoors, work with kids or animals, and learn new skills. That’s why I believe Workaway is the perfect opportunity for me to experience Australia.

For the past two weeks, I’ve been in Melbourne, but now I’m excited to lend a helping hand and contribute with my skills :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

FABI: After finishing high school, I took a gap year where I worked as a pharmacy courier and in primary school (child care). Afterwards I completed an apprenticeship in shipping and did some manual labour for friends on the weekends. Furthermore I volunteered for the UEFA European Cup 2024 as a ceremony maker.

PAUL: Having traveled through Asia for the past five months, I’ve become adaptable to new environments and people.

After finishing high school in 2021, I worked in childcare for nearly a year, taking care of first graders. During that time, I realized how much I enjoy working with children of all ages.

From summer 2022 to summer 2024, I completed an apprenticeship in wholesale and foreign trade management in Hamburg. This experience taught me how to work effectively in a team and strengthened my communication skills.

I also love being outdoors. Through regular involvement in manual labor at home and at friends houses, I’ve discovered how much I enjoy working with friends and/or family.

The two of us can work in basically every area. We are both handy and love being outside. Being active is something that unites us.
Therefore we can be a hand with every kind of work around the garden or the house.
