Description
Hello!
We are Billie and Freja, two friends who met during a French course in Montpellier. We bonded over our mutual interest in French culture, which is why we’re looking to stay here for longer and put our learning into action. We are both interested in art, literature and French cinema. We actually came to the south of France after falling in love with it on screen.
We will both be commencing our studies in Autumn. Freja will be studying Chemistry at Bristol and Billie will be attending Lund to study architecture. Before then, we want to get the most of our time abroad.
Both of us have a strong background in hospitality and are happiest when kept busy. We look forward to gaining practical skills and further improving our knowledge of French cuisine as it’s the best!

More about Freja:
I’m a smiley person who loves working with and learning from other people.I speak English and Swedish I’m learning French at the moment. I always come with a positive attitude to work as it’s important to me to create a productive and happy environment.
I love a bit of diy and often help my parents with odd jobs around the house such as sorting and organising cupboards, selling items online and painting doors and walls. I’ve also worked with my mother in her studio taking patterns of and repairing vintage clothing.
I have experience working as a waitress at Happy Face, a receptionist at the Fore (boutique gym) and as a sous chef and guest coordinator for Mina yoga retreats. From these experiences I have developed excellent communication, organisational and multitasking skills.
Im a fast learner and always looking to grow my skillset.
More about Billie :
I am a positive and proactive person with a diverse skill set, gained through practical experience in hospitality, childcare, and charity work. I have worked in various roles, including waitressing, bartending, nannying, and event coordination. As a result, I have developed strong customer service-, teamworking-, and problem solving abilities. In particular, my experience in hospitality taught me how to manage stress, communicate effectively with both guests and colleagues, and create a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
I have completed the International Baccalaureate, with a focus on Chemistry, English, and Art, which is reflective of my widespread interests. I am fluent in English and Swedish, conversational in Spanish, and currently working on advancing my French (B1 level). I aim to pursue a career in architecture and have a particular interest in restoration work. In my own life, I have completed home-improvement projects, such as painting walls, mounting mouldings and restoring found pieces of furniture. I look forward to gaining more hands-on experience before beginning my studies this autumn.
