Welcome to my profile! I'm Fulya, new here and curious, where and to whom this journey will lead me. After a powerful and happy working life I am now enjoying being a "young" age pensioner, 65 years old, but still curious, adventurous, active, healthy and sportive. It's time to realize some of my dreams like brushing up my French language and spending more time in this beautiful country (I already travelled several months across France). Since my youth I have been working as a volunteer or to earn little money in: hospitals, children's homes, in restaurants, in ecological projects (planting trees and other gardening), as assistant for seniors and disabled persons. Later, after having worked as an interior designer, I became a passionate pedagogue/teacher (the last 16 years also a principal) and social worker. I always try to live my life with the vision: doing something good for others and our planet, changing things in a better way, bringing creativity, joy and peace into the world. So you can imagine which my hobbies are: teaching and learning languages, travelling, exploring other cultures, supporting good communities and peace projects. I love music, singing in our peace choir, playing a little bit piano, dancing (specially latino dances), hiking in nature ...to mention some of them. As I was born in Istanbul in an "international" and "pioneer" family I am very thankful and happy to live in my cosmopolitan hometown Hamburg. As I also love nature and stillness, which you can't always find in a metropolican city, I like to be on the countryside during journeys and excursions. What I can offer to you: helping in the house and garden (but I am not very talented in difficult handcraft), help you with your German (and I would like to practise my French) or Turkish, helping in creative, musical and educational projects...
I am thankful that I had the oppurtunity to travel or visit people in several countries: Germany, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, Danmark, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Greek Islands, Cyprus, Turkey, Japan, Bali/Lombok, USA, Canada (only Quebec), France. France I liked in a special way because of the language, the landscape, the variety of musical and theatre events, the way of French life...So I am looking forward to go back soon. All my travelling made me more tolerant, open-minded ant thankful about my pretty good life in Hamburg, because I hve seen so much poverty, problems and misery in some other countries. I do also appreciate much more the beauty of nature and I also learned much about sociology, culture and languages, which interest me a lot.

I was grown up bilingual (Turkish/German), so it was easy for me to learn other new languages. The first three years of my childhood I lived in Istanbul, then moved with my family to Germany. I have traveled a lot in different countries. As a student of the English/Geman language I could study 6 months in Newcastle, North of England and spent some weeks in California. All these experiences and my interest in other countries and cultures made me passionate to teach and learn myself diffent languages. It's enriching to understand people and their culture, communicate with them, create peace and to understand the world. A lot of members of my family also live in foreign countries like Austria, New York, Columbia...

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As a voluteer I worked in hospitals, children's homes, ecological and community projects, assistance of seniors.
During my working life I could experience: architecture and interior design, arts, teaching children and adult groups and individuals, organizing smaller and bigger systems like schools), doing social work in areas of focus, assistance of disabled children.
I also took advanced training in theatre, stress relaxion for children and adults, communication skills and psychology (especially for children).

My friends and my family say about me, that I am an open-minded person. I like to learn new things, so if you want to offer me something I haven't done yet, I would like to try it anyway (if you can be patient with me).
