Description
I, Gina and my partner Hugo will be traveling together for some time in Italy to explore. We are a fun, easygoing couple, he is Mexican and I South African/ Kiwi, so we have a wonderful blend of culture. We both love being outside and surrounded by animals and nature. We have interest in learning about growing and making our own food from scratch and, as Hugo is a chef, he is always eager to learn new recipes.
We are reasonably active, love exploring but also love to unwind and relax. We are generally quiet but also love to socialize and are interested in language exchange as I am fluent in English and beginner/intermediate in Spanish and Hugo fluent in Spanish, beginner/ intermediate in English and beginner in French, and currently we are both learning Italian.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have landscaping/ gardening experience with knowledge of planting and some garden care.
I have some knowledge of releasing pressure from the body and an interest in learning massage/ other care techniques.
I have some experience in handling horses and am interested in widening that to other animals and improving on my skills.

Hugo has studied and worked as a chef and management in multiple hotels in Mexico. He is quite handy with most things from construction/ woodworking to helping in the garden and is a fast learner with an eye for detail.

We are interested in learning more about sustainable practices, learning more about permaculture and good food from nature and how to make more things for ourselves. Really looking for opportunities to connect with people, spend time around animals with opportunities to explore and enjoy our surroundings.

Randy was an absolutely fantastic host. He really made us feel at home and I would not hesitate to go back. It was a great exchange, having Gina & Hugo here for almost three weeks this June/July. They were great individually and as a team, helping to stack and organize a seemingly endless pile of firewood, clear and clean the large courtyard, remove siding from a storage area and scrape/sand the planks for re-painting, remove the weeds along the drive… read more
