Hi my name is Hanna, nice to meet you!

Little about me, I'm a curious person who thrives in environments where I'm challenged and I see a lot of value learning from the people around me. I'm definitely the happiest surrounded by nature or in a kitchen with friends. This past year I really got into running and yoga so ui'm excited to learn more about that as well. I'm a big reader and you'll often find me with a book in my hands when I have time to spare. I find a lot of value connecting with new people and always down to have a good conversation about anything really. In my work I like to take action and be efficient, I love to work in teams and find collaboration to be super helpful.

This year I had my first experience with workaway as a teacher at an NGO in Ghana, this experience made me realize the gift of teaching and giving back. I had a blast working with the students and seeing them develop their skills as well as their confidence. Before living in Ghana I previously lived in the US and France, immersing myself in a new culture has always been natural to me and I find it so fun and will continue this in my life. I have recently finished my bachelor's program in development studies, now I want to discover what the world has to offer; through people from different cultures and backgrounds, through food and places I haven't been before.

I would love to work with various tasks, I have previously helped with painting jobs, gardening, cleaning and general maintenance etc. If it's possible I'd love to learn new skills though. Don't hesitate to contact me for more about me or how I could fit into your place!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My educational background is in development studies, I completed my bachelor's from Stockholm university. The programs' focus was on aid, sustainability - environmental and social, economics, international relationship and social anthropology. I have during my education done a high school exchange to USA and did an Erasmus year abroad in France.

I'm down to learn most things and take on new tasks with ease most times, I have experience with painting houses, cleaning, and general maintenance work from my summer jobs as a property caretaker. I have worked in restaurants and clothing stores so I have plenty of experience with customer service and team work.

From my time as a teacher in Ghana I learnt how to adjust to sudden challenges, be flexible with the resources I was given, and have patience when things didn't work out right away. In addition to my responsibilities as a teacher I worked on administrative tasks such as creating a volunteer handbook and putting together a job ad.

Swedish is my mother tongue, I have level C1 in English and my French is on beginner level (a1-2) but I am very keen on improving it and want to learn Italian one day.

I grew up playing football and is still down to play some times when I get the opportunity. I also grew up riding horses and still have a lot of love for the sport and animals. Tennis, running and yoga is something I have gotten into more recently, I hope to improve and take I the chance to play when I can. I am such a water person and I love spending a day at the beach, snorkeling, swimming and enjoying the sun.

My current interest is pickling and fermenting, I have tried making kimchi and loved it so I'll definitely continue with that!
