Hello!

My name is Helena, thank you for reading my profile :) I have been an art teacher for nine years and have been teaching English for the last two. I decided to take at least a year off to travel with the goal to explore all kinds of cultures and sharing experiences.

I am known to my friends and family as someone who loves to learn about almost anything. In order to be happy, it is vital for me to create meaningful connections. I'm really looking forward to learn more about outdoor life, working with the land (especially permaculture) taking care of animals, cultural exchange and learning Spanish.

Open communication, sincerity, loyalty, friendliness, perseverance, and reliability are important values to me, and I will always try to tune in with the local culture.

August- October 2023
I've worked worked on an (almost) off-grid finca in Spain. I learned about gardening, dug channels, brought the goats up and down a steep mountain, cooked and shared meals under the almond trees.

Dec-Jan 2023/2024
In Tasmania I lived and worked in a community and helped out in a permaculture/agroforestry garden and helped finishing a cabin.

Feb 2024 - May 2024
In the south of Patagonia, Chile, I’ve lived and worked on a ranch for almost four months, where I helped herding sheep on horseback while enjoying the mesmerising views.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Since august I’ve worked in rural, often off grid places, digging channels, learning about permaculture, working with animals (sheep, goats), riding a horse and I’ve been helping finishing a cabin.

Being a teacher of art and English, I can help out with art projects, ranging from painting murals to digital projects, since I did a minor in Graphic Design during my years at the art academy.

I love cooking and have experience providing food for larger groups.
