  • Description

As of January 2025 I am currently into reading books about love, compassion, relationships and the mind. My latest reads are: Scattered minds by Gabor Mate, The Art of Loving by Eric Fromm, Lettera Sull' Amore by Vittorino Andreoli and The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read by Philippa Perry.

A few memorable events in my life that happened in 2024 are: I attempted a to start a sweets business in March, In May I went to a meditation retreat in which I volunteered to translate from English to Arabic, In July I joined a Meisner acting workshop and In December I left my full-time job in the tech industry.

My goals for 2025 are to travel till 2026, learning about and respecting myself, to know people, to explore living on a farm and in community in hopes to find an alternative way of living that respects the individual as well as the collective that includes earth and the animals.

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I pride myself on my sweeping skills, you keep the broom going till momentum dissipates. The mid-sweep-and-stop school of thinking argues that this raises dust in the air, which is true. But to them I say “we live only once”. Always go full sweep. Let the dust go up, it will come down again.

I am a half-Italian half-Egyptian engineer that studied mechatronics in the UK. From here I derive decent pasta-cooking abilities, my trilingual tongue and coding skills. More precisely I can speak Italian and Arabic with native fluency and my English is as fluent as stream on a riverbed. And I could code applications in C and python scripts as well as some basic web development. I am also very used to automating your google workspace, like sending that annoying Friday evening’s 6pm email you always put off, without you breaking a sweat. I am also keen to learn anything that’s needed to get a job done.

I worked as a gardener (mostly weeding) for a few months and I care for a couple of plants at home.

I have also been volunteering at a hospice which made me more empathic and sensitive. I can effortlessly communicate with elders. I would like to think they usually really like me.

Finally, I have been meditating for the last two years in the Vipassana and zen schools and have attended 10-day retreats.

    Go full sweep.
