Hi guys, we are Josh and Amy, a couple from Leicester in England.

Leicestershire is quite a rural area so we have developed quite an appetite for outdoor adventure sports. Snowboarding and skiing is our favourite by far. However, we also have a keen interest in mountain biking, hiking, camping and fishing.

Leicester is also one of the most diverse cities in England, it boasts many different cultures and ethnicities so we have been fortunate enough to meet people from all across the globe as well as sample many different foods and traditions.


We both have adventurous spirits and love to travel, explore the world, meet new people and experience new places.

We are really open to try new things and gain unique experiences and we are looking to reflect that in our work away experience. We would be more than happy to be involved in eco projects, farm-stays, and also the opportunity to work with local people to improve our language skills. With our background we would also be more than happy to get stuck into a construction project in which we specialise.

Between us we have worked in more than 10 different countries across 3 continents. This includes experience in bars and nightclubs, hotel waitresses and maintenance, customer service, a season as a snowmobile instructor, volunteering at a turtle sanctuary and a natural disaster relief effort.

We both have a construction background, Josh is a carpenter with nearly 20 years experience from the age of 15. Amy has worked extensively in site surveying, automated machine control and earth moving.

Overall we are looking to connect with new people, have a good time and experience different cultures and walks of life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We both have a very strong construction background. Josh has nearly 20 years experience working as a carpenter and Amy has worked for nearly 10 years within surveying, site set out and machine control.

We also like to have fun and have done many backpacker jobs including snowmobile and ski instructors, working in bars and nightclubs, hotel maintenance and house keeping. We are friendly, easy going and like to push our comfort zones
