Dear hosts,

My name is Kim, I’m 29 years old and currently living in Vienna. After studying Applied Theatre and working as a freelancer on interdisciplinary art projects, I have now decided to become a teacher, focusing on English, Music, and Arts at a middle school.

In general, I am interested in theatre and the arts. I enjoy exploring new forms of theatre that can reach more people in participatory and democratic ways -my particular field of interest here is intersectional queer feminism and I'm always super open to talk about it. I also like to do yoga and HIIT, to walk and hike in the mountains, listen to music from rap to reggaeton (one of my favourite musicians is "Kae Tempest"), read or do something with my hands (like handicrafts).

About ten years ago, I used Workaway while traveling in Peru, Argentina, and Chile, and I really enjoyed the experience. I love this form of traveling because it allows me to get to know people and places from an insider’s perspective.

I would now like to use Workaway again to find a project in Costa Rica, where I did a semester abroad in 2017. I already know a bit about the country and have some acquaintances there, but I would love to get involved in a meaningful project.

Me llamo Kim, tengo 29 años y actualmente vivo en Viena. Después de estudiar Teatro Aplicado y trabajar como freelance en proyectos artísticos interdisciplinarios, he decidido ahora ser docente y enseñar Inglés, Música y Arte en una escuela secundaria.

En general, me interesa mucho el teatro y el arte, especialmente cuando logran difuminar la línea con contextos sociopolíticos. Me gusta explorar nuevas formas de teatro que puedan llegar a más personas de manera participativa y, en lo posible, democrática. Mi campo de interés se centra especialmente en el feminismo queer interseccional. Además, me interesa practicar yoga y HIIT, escucho música desde rap hasta reggaeton, me gusta pintar, leer y caminar en la naturaleza.

Hace unos diez años usé Workaway mientras viajaba por Perú, Argentina y Chile, y fue una experiencia que disfruté mucho. Prefiero esta forma de viajar porque es increíble conocer a personas y lugares desde una perspectiva interna.

Ahora me gustaría volver a usar Workaway para encontrar un proyecto en Costa Rica, donde hice un semestre en el extranjero en 2017. Ya conozco un poco el país y tengo algunas amistades allí, pero me encantaría involucrarme en un buen proyecto.
