Description

Hello people of the world,
I'm Maddy and I'm from Tasmania, the little island off the bottom of Australia. I am new to work away and very keen try and make it part of my travels. I would describe myself as adventurous but calm and someone who really enjoys my own company but also really highly values making meaningful connections with people whilst I travel.

I am spending some time in the US and Canada in 2025 exploring different ways of living, doing some walking and hopefully some climbing.

I am really interested in learning about different set ups for intentional communities as well as the skills that go along with living in them (building and permaculture in particular, but hey, I also don't know what I don't know). I am trying to find a way to live a bit outside the system and to live in nature but not be a hermit, because I really love people and value connections deeply.

I'm happy to have a call and a chat if you would like to also before committing. What ever works best for you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I love gardening and being outside. I am not skilled in building but would love to learn more. I work teaching outdoor skills to school aged children in Australia and enjoy working with young people. I would say that what ever work I end up doing I give it 100% even if it is something that I have little prior experience with.

I am looking for Workaways where I can feel connected to people and can contribute to a community.

I am also looking to learn more building and self sufficiency skills.

I grew up on a small farm with a big garden and lots of animals and have always had my own garden. I am very happy taking care of animals, vegetables and children and am very keen to learn more about all the other aspects of the self sufficient lifestyle.
