Description
Hi! We are Maira and Andrew, a couple from Italy and New Zealand. We met during a workaway project when we were both working in a hostel in Edinburgh.
We share the passion for traveling and are ready to explore new countries together!
Right now we are working in a hotel in Scotland, on the beautiful Isle of skye. I (Maira) work as a waitress and Andrew is a bartender.
We enjoy working with people and are both experienced in hospitality, but we are really looking forward to experience something new, perhaps regarding agricultural and any outdoors activity.
Soon we will leave Scotland and explore North Africa and Eastern European before heading to India, a country that we are both super exited to explore!

Maira:
I'm a hard working person who loves to slow travel and live in different countries.
I love nature, specially mountains, I love hiking and camping, swimming in lakes amd rivers, I love catching sunrises and eating healthy veggie food.
I have experience with Kids, I used to be an Au Pair in England for a year, working with kids can be really stressful sometimes and I consider myself as a really patient person.
I've mainly worked in hospitality, I've worked in multiple hostels and hotels in Scotland and New Zealand, doing a huge variety of things such as: waitress, cleaning, general maintenance, checking people in and out, socialising with guests and helping with the garden.
I've already volunteered during my 6 months backpacking trip in south East Asia, I have taught English to children in Thailand and Vietnam as well as worked in a camp site in Malaysia.
Andrew:
I'm New Zealander with UK citizenship who is based in the UK after completing their PhD in Chemistry. I am a social butterfly and love to travel and meeting people from different cultures and all walks of life. I love outdoor activities, reading, playing guitar and drums and meeting new and interesting people.
I have extensive customer service experience, both working in retail and healthcare environments. My healthcare experience involved cleaning and housekeeping, so I am very good at doing a thorough job to a high standard. I also love gardening and completing DIY tasks and cooking all types of food!
I also have a lot of experience caring for people with intellectual and physical disabilities, I am a very tolerant and caring person and love making people feel welcome and accepted.
