Hi!

My name is Maria, I am 29 years old and I am from the Netherlands. I did my Masters in South Asian studies following my bachelors in Linguistics.Right now I´m working as a consultant for a Dutch as a second language school for adults in the Netherlands, until I start my traveling. I love animals, nature, creativity, music, boardgames, seeing new places and eating good vegetarian food.

I have been to India thrice before, once to a Hindi language school (तो मुझे कुछ हिन्दी आती है :)), once as a volunteer to paint the walls of a primary school and once for a cooking course. Most recently I was in Nepal, living and working on a wonderful Nepalese workaway farm. I´ve also spent some time working on a farm in Slovenia.

I love working with animals or working at places that have animals, in such a way that it helps the animals and the people, and is not just a getaway for me to post on social media about, with little to no use for the animals or people themselves. I´ve also grown to love learning about farming and how people live in different cultures in different parts of the world. I am looking forward to experience this in the coming year :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have been working with customers in different kind of stores for years now. I have some experience with volunteering projects in India and Nepal (painting school walls, farm work) and I have experience in planning events and social media around events as former president of a study association. I love working with animals, nature photography (and village and city photography), learning about people's culture, anything creative and more. I am willing to help with whatever is most helpful
