Description

We are Marco and Maria, two free spirits aged 27, ready to discover new experiences with Workaway. Our journey as explorers began in 2016 when we participated in various Erasmus programs in Lithuania, Spain, and Portugal. From 2020 to 2023, we continued our travels around Europe, living for a year and a half in different cities across Spain (Valencia, Madrid, Seville) and spending five months in Poland (Krakow, Warsaw, and Łódź). We also hopped around several European countries, exploring cities such as Budapest, Timișoara, Prague, Bratislava, Malta, and many more. Despite all our travel experiences, we have never had the chance to experience Workaway, and this year we’ve decided it’s the right time to do so.

We are calm and reflective people, always seeking new experiences that push us to grow. Our passion for well-being and harmony guides every step of our lives, as we engage in activities that help us maintain balance, both physically and mentally. Meditation, long walks, and listening to healing music are some of the ways we find serenity. Despite our peaceful nature, we also love adrenaline and enjoy challenging ourselves with new experiences, whether physical or mental.

Why do we travel?
Our home country has never given us the feeling of being in the right place, which is why we feel the need to explore new places and cultures. We want to immerse ourselves in different environments where we can truly grow, learn, and feel free. For us, travel is not just about geography: we enjoy meeting new people and enriching ourselves with experiences that open our minds. We also love exploring new mental horizons, sharpening our skills, especially in the world of social media, which we are particularly passionate about.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Marco has always worked with computers, but his main interest lies in the world of social networks, content creation, and management. He has successfully managed social media accounts, growing their presence and engagement. In addition to his digital skills, he is also proficient in practical tasks: he can cook, drive, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Marco has experience caring for pets, particularly rabbits, and he is always open to learning new skills and expanding his knowledge in various areas.


Maria has worked in Seville for an NGO, where she interacted with children of all ages, helping them with their homework, creating educational materials about Italian culture, and taking them on outdoor activities. She spent three years working in a reception center as an apprentice educator.
Maria also has experience as a babysitter in a school setting. Additionally, she is a certified personal trainer. She enjoys cooking, cleaning, and has a passion for taking care of pets, having previously cared for a pet rabbit.
Maria is always eager to learn new activities and is open to any opportunity that helps her grow and expand her skills!

We are looking for experiences that allow us to grow and test ourselves. We like challenges that push us to discover who we really are, both in tranquility and adrenaline. We strongly believe in the freedom to be ourselves and we live every moment trying to respect our need for inner balance.

For us, Workaway is a new adventure that combines our love for travel, personal growth and the desire to contribute in a concrete way. We want to do our part in meaningful projects, live authentic experiences and, above all, meet people who share our desire to discover and learn.
