Description

Hi! We are Myrthe and Stan from Wageningen, The Netherlands.

We both have a deep love for nature and want to spend the upcoming months embracing the freedom of the outdoors. To make this dream a reality, we’re currently on the lookout for a van that can take us anywhere!

As active people, we enjoy rowing, hiking, surfing, and (occasionally) running. We’re always up for an adventure and love discovering new places. Beyond our outdoor passions, we’re eager to learn more about off-grid living, gaining inspiration for a more self-sufficient future.

Stan is currently learning to become a carpenter, working with his hands and learning the craft of woodworking. He is also considering a future as an outdoor guide, combining his love for adventure with practical skills. Myrthe attended a Waldorf school for 12 years, where she gained experience in a wide variety of creative and practical skills. She recently completed a bachelor's degree in Consumer Studies but is still searching for the right path for her master's degree. While Consumer Studies wasn’t fully satisfying, she is considering starting a master's in Resilient Farming and Food Systems in September.

For the coming months, we are looking for adventure, freedom, and inspiration. Through Workaway, we hope to meet inspiring people, exchange skills, and contribute wherever we can while immersing ourselves in nature. We look forward to connecting with like-minded hosts and fellow travelers along the way!

We are both hardworking and always strive for the best results in everything we do.
Over the years, we have gained various hands-on skills:

Stan:
-Carpentry
-Working on a goat farm in Norway, milking, baking sourdough bread

Myrthe:
-Learned a range of crafts at the Waldorf school, including sewing, knitting, basic woodworking, forging, weaving, and more.
-Cooking, with the specific interest in local and in-season products

We are eager to learn new skills, adapt quickly, and are always excited to take on new challenges!
