Hi I'm Ruth! I love travel and the outdoors, particularly hiking, and I'm always keen for a new adventure or challenge! I really enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new cultures through volunteering. I particularly love to try new cuisines and foods while travelling. I'm keen to give anything a try and help out with whatever is needed!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Hospitality experience management/waitressing/bartending and customer service skills from working in the food service industry and through previous volunteering in a hostel. I am a native English speaker (very little previous teaching experience but more than willing to give it a go!), love interacting with children and confident working with animals. Also a little bit of experience, from previous volunteering, with natural building, using mud and bottles to construct walls.

We volunteered at the farm for a week and it was an incredible, interesting experience. Raja was away when we visited so we were hosted by Gowda, who welcomed us into his home and introduced us to the farm and rural village life. We learned how to make chapattis and sambar on a open fire, a little about farming methods and we built walls together… read more

It was a pleasure to have Ruth and Keiron volunteer and be part of the community. They were part of this community for over two weeks. Roshan is a wonderful host and he owns a fantastic hostel. We really enjoyed our time volunteering with him and we learnt a lot! We helped out around the hostel with the guests, as well as assisting with bookings and the day to day running of the hostel.
