Description

We are a boyfriend and girlfriend who are both keen travelers and enjoy meeting and getting to know others, and trying new things.

In October, we will be leaving England and travelling South and South East Asia, before arriving into Australia. We are excited to explore more of the world together and make amazing memories with others from across the globe.

We have both lived abroad during our late teens and early twenties. I (Steph) first traveled outside Europe to volunteered overseas in Indonesia at the age of 16. Aged 18, I then volunteered in India for over three months, and was asked by the local team to return six months later to coordinate volunteers and support their local projects. After this, I joined local teams in another two countries (Sri Lanka and Indonesia) in my summer breaks from university. Since graduating in 2018, I have travelled and worked abroad in several other countries across Africa, Asia and North America. My times abroad are some of my fondest memories - even more so, those with the people I met and worked with.

Tom is also a keen traveler. He has studied abroad in Germany and Italy for six months at a time. He really enjoys learning new languages (speaking four in total) and getting to know new people. He is also a big football fan, supporting Man United and Grimsby Town.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I (Steph) have volunteered overseas, and have also coordinated large groups of volunteers. I have experience working with local teams, planning projects, managing volunteer relations and much more! I now work in communications for the UK's national health service. I have experience writing content (including newsletters, press releases etc), creating creative content (including for social media and posters), and have other digital experience too, such as editing websites. I also have volunteering experience in the UK, working with elderly people and also supporting people facing homeless.

Tom is currently a search engine optimisation (SEO) manager for a big retailer in the UK, and has a postgraduate degree in digital marketing. He has studied German for 14 years, and used to live in Munich during university. He has also used German in the workplace, including creating marketing strategies for German speaking countries. He speaks Italian and Spanish too after having studied these in a foreign languages degree at university.

We are big lovers of board and card games! We will be taking a variety of card games travelling with us and enjoy playing with others. Tom enjoys learning new and brushing up on languages in his spare time. I enjoy singing as part of a contemporary choir (although I'm by no means good!!).
