Hello,
My name is Sylvie and I'm from Bordeaux in France. I am 51 year old ,mum of grown-up twin boys Remi and Titouan studying in Paris and Lille. I live with my dear husband Laurent, and we have a cat Gadjo.
We hosted a few workaways when kids were young and we had great experiences with them all. Now it's my turn :-) ! I studied languages, taught French as a Foreign Language abroad and backpacked a lot with Laurent and our children . I have been working for years in the wine business and I am definitely a wine-lover, I don't think this will ever change. However, I have decided to get back to my first love, English and teaching. This community is the perfect place to start with this project, a great opportunity to travel , live an amazing experience with my future hosts, brush up my English, meet great people and enjoy this time as much as when I was 20 ! I look forward to this new adventure with you !!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am easy-going , good natured and get on well with people, children and adults alike. I really enjoy team work , human relationships and I spend a lot of time with my family, friends or colleagues .
I raised our twins until they started school and I spent a few years teaching. I love interacting with teenagers, playing with children and spending time with them, reading them books, playing mimes or theater play, helping them with their daily routines or homework, singing and laughing together . Badminton , ping pong , or ball games are always good fun with them too! driving them to sports or activities always take a lot if time and scheduling ahead, but it s worth the trouble when you see their happy faces !
I can take care of household chores, little DYI like painting and cooking and gardening are always a pleasure. I don't eat meat but I don't mind cooking it.
I can teach you some French if course and some wine tasting and wine pairing session if you need !
I worked in wine tourism and guiding for years , then as an export sales assistant . At work, I am organized, reliable, independant and proactive.
I love nature, outdoor activities like hiking, biking, camping, swimming, ... I used to do horse back riding when I was young, I would not mind giving it another try !! I try my best to to care for our planet and reduce my impact daily with slow consumption, less waste... !I am pretty active during the day generally , but in the evening, reading a good book is always a treat, relaxing with some yoga or mindfulness sessions, listening to music or watching a good movie !
