Hi,

I'm Yorn, a full time vanlifer traveling around europe looking for interesting experiences. During summer months i am usually in Belgium. In winters I try to escape the cold heading south.

I am a really active person, I like active work, have alot of hobbies and practice many sports. I am not that good at sitting still but I am learning how to through meditation and reading. I travel alone, so boredom and solitude are also part of the experience and I do handle it well.

With workaway I hope to find memorable social interactions and work opportunities wich keep me active and busy, gives me a sense of fulfillment and improve my overall skills. I am eager to learn languages and expand my knowledge listening to other's view on life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience on many different kinds of work.

Since i was 15 years old I worked every summer and weekends in supermarkets as a student. After i finished school I did a specialization year on security and safety.
Then at 19 years old I immediately started working full time while renting an apartment.
I started in a supermarket and after 2 years I worked myself to manager wich I also did for 2 years. After the long and stressful hours coming with such a job i decided to take life a bit slower and bought my Van to live in.
Started working in a Do-it-yourself/gardening store for a while but got bored of it quickly because there wasn't really enough work to do.
I replaced it for a security job at the port of Antwerp wich I recently quit to travel europe.
During the summer months in Belgium I help with setting up food truck festivals.

I have some experiences with dog sitting and grew up around animals. I always seem to have a good connection with animals and I genuinely care for them.

I speak Dutch and English fluently, and speak basic French and Spanish but hope to get better at it.

Others skills include Thai boxing, mountain biking, bouldering and I also have some gardening skills.
