Hi! I’m a 19 year old Swedish girl solo traveling more or less full time. When traveling I want to broaden my perspectives by experiencing and learning new things, meeting new people and learning about new places and cultures. Mainly I intend on doing so by volunteering and then also give back to the local communities. At the moment I’m traveling through Portugal for a few months and hope to experience some cool volunteering opportunities ((:

I’m a social and energetic person who is always searching for new experiences and wants to meet likeminded people.

When traveling I enjoy being in nature, exploring cities and partaking in nightlife. At home I mostly play football, cook, bake, go hiking, hang out with friends, go partying or cuddle with my cat. I also love music, both listening and singing (but I cannot really sing), my favorite artists being Madonna, Abba and The Primitives (felt like I had to mention this).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have previously worked in service at a fast food restaurant. Therefore I am used to working with people and customers, and work great both independently and in a team. Teamwork is one of my strong suits since I have been playing football for half of my life. Because of my work, I have experience of preparing meals, which is also a big hobby of mine. Moreover I have great experience of cleaning as I have independently worked a lot of closing shifts during which we clean the entirety of the restaurant and the kitchen.

I have led a few football practices as well as taught a few physical education classes. This is something I can see myself doing more of in the future, and I can take on a leader role with grace, if needed.

I have a pet cat, named Harri, and therefore have great knowledge of pet care. I love being around all sorts of animals, you could call me a real animal whisperer (;

As for volunteering, I stayed at a very social hostel in Budapest for 1,5 months where my main tasks included leading walking tours and drinking games, reception work and a bit of cleaning.

I have also volunteered at an animal shelter, mainly for dogs, in Morocco for approximately 3 months. There I did everything from cleaning, feeding, and watering the animals, to doing bandages, changing diapers, giving medication and walking the dogs. Working with animals is something I can see myself doing more of in the future.

I am always happy to learn new things and am a quick learner, so being assigned job tasks I have no previous experience of is a challenge I face with joy. I proud myself on being a hard worker, and a person that my colleagues and employers can always count on.
