Hi there! My name is Elyse and I'm a 26 year-old writer, composer, and multimedia artist from Los Angeles, California. I am new to Workaway and very excited to go on my first solo traveling adventure and make meaningful memories with genuine people along the way.

My greatest passions are music and storytelling. I studied classical piano for over ten years, went to school for music composition, then later attended graduate school at New York University for musical theatre writing. Halfway through my masters program in 2020 I decided to withdraw from my program and pivot from the arts to digital marketing, in search of more stability.

Now four years later, I feel a deeper call to return to my craft and leave LA to focus on my art, explore the world, and connect with my soul purpose. I am currently working on a project that blends meditation, live music, spoken word poetry, and breathwork.

Some of my hobbies include yoga, hiking, styling creative fashion photoshoots, skateboarding, and soccer.

I have a wide skillset ranging from childcare, music education, hospitality, photography, videography, web design, and digital marketing. I also love working outside and caring for plants, animals, cooking healthy meals, and organizing the home.

I enjoy learning new things and I take pride in the work that I do. As a Workawayer, I value honesty, reliability, open communication, and kindness.
