My name's Francesca and I'm from London, but have been living in Edinburgh (Scotland) for the past year, soaking up the outdoors life. I have a background in the charity sector and have been in this line of work for over 5 years.

I'm motivated by people, food and the environment: I've previously experienced a Workaway with my sister where we helped out on a sustainable lavender farm in Tuscany and really enjoyed this time of working and learning about a different way of life from my own.

When arriving in Scotland, I volunteered at a local community project to help build an outdoor kitchen space for their community garden by using cob to make a mud hut - I loved being outdoors and working with new volunteers to put together a useful resource for the Community. In my spare time I help out at community food projects by cooking and serving food for people in the community (using surplus food) and really enjoy being able to meet new people and learn new skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am an excellent communicator and feel like I can get along well with a wide variety of people. I've been working in the Charity Sector for over 5 years- I spent 3.5 years managing the operation of a national food charity and my most recent work has involved working closely with people who have disabilities to support them into finding employment. Prior to this, I was working in hospitality and really enjoy providing a good service for customers.

I love food and cooking- any excuse to bring people together over food, whether that's learning new recipes together or being able to share joy through making other people food. I also like doing embroidery and finding inspiration for different designs in nature.

I love being outdoors and generally around nature, so am always keen to go hiking and exploring in general.

I have a big passion for music and love finding new artists and live music to go to.
