Hello everyone, I'm Paola from Italy :)
I have a positive attitude and a bright and strong personality, but I'm also very goofy and love to play around :').
I'm studying Journalism & Communication, in the hope of becoming an editor, but really, I still need to figure it out.
I love languages and I have studied them in high school. Through some Erasmus+ youth exchanges and training courses, I've begun to feel comfortable in English. Now I'm working hard on my German, and after mastering it, I want to travel to South America to learn Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese! I also have some basic knowledge of French.
My hobbies include reading and watching movies, as well as listening to house music, rap, trap, jazz, R&B, soul, disco, salsa, and afro (mostly all blended)! I also love baking and cooking, but I have limited experience in them, so I want to challenge myself to improve.
I love to explore new cities and new environments, especially when they're surrounded by nature (like on the sea or in a forest). What's more, I go to the gym regularly, and on my rest days, I practice yoga. After an awesome trip to Greece, I discovered that I am also very into watersports and hiking, and I would love the chance to immerse myself more in these sports.
I like to step out of my comfort zone to experience as much as possible and gather any kind of knowledge. I love to feel helpful and to make a positive impact on the environment around me.

I can teach Italian and English (even if not like a native). I want to improve my German (I'm at a level between B1/2). Also, I just started learning Spanish (Argentinean/Uruguayan) and love it! I think it would be really funny trying to speak it with a native :')

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've worked for three months in a conference centre and holiday home in Travemünde, Germany, as a service worker, cleaning lady and in children's animation.
In service I worked both early and late shifts, setting up the food buffet, cleaning tables and the floor, as well as disassemble and re-assemble the coffee machine to clean it, washing dishes, preparing food and beverages for the next shift/day and selling soft drinks and beers/wines at the cash register (interacting in German with the guests, most of the time).
As per the cleaning, while the guests were still staying I vacuum-cleaned, mopped the floor, cleaned the bathroom, emptied the trash cans and changed towels. When I cleaned the apartments after the guests' departure I also made the beds, cleaned the kitchen and removed the dust from the furniture. I also did the laundry (towels and bed sheets) and folded it.
In children's animation, in the mornings I supervised children while they played freely with the toys offered by a small playhouse, both inside and outside (in a garden) and once a week I assisted them during a pizza-baking workshop. In the evenings my colleague and I prepared a bonfire and sticks to cook bread, prepared popcorn with a popcorn machine and set up a projector for movie night, decorated the playhouse with balloons and disco lights for a small party, and ate pizza together once a week.
I am flexible and hard-working, good at organising and planning. I have soft leadership tendencies.
I participated in a few short Erasmus+ mobility projects (which involved living, socialising, and organising activities on various topics with a group of strangers in different locations in the European Union), so I have soft skills and good interpersonal skills.
I also have experience with babysitting.
