Hi all,

I’ve recently started to cross off the ultimate roadtrip wish from my bucket list, being the Pan American trip from Ushuaia Argentina to Fairbanks Alaska during the coming year. First 9 weeks of Spanish lessons in Buenos Aires to be able to get around locally and then ‘on the road’. I hope to meet a lot of interesting people and to visit many beautiful places.
Being active in open nature and on the country side gives me the most happiness (with a city trip every now and then).
Most of all I just want to see and experience as much of our world as possible during my lifetime.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Born and raised a small Dutch village (6 years of my youth on a dairy farm, the rest in the village and later on I’ve lived in two nearby cities).
Always worked part time at my dads mechanical workshop where he sells and repairs tractors and machinery.
Finished a bachelors degree in both mechanical engineering and business engineering.
After my studies I went to Canada on a working holiday program for 11 months.
Worked at a Custom Farmer in Alberta for 5 months (operated all equipment), 2 months at the Banff Park lodge as a groundskeeper and 2 months at Roos Seven Hills Custom Farming in the East (mainly as a mechanic in their workshop pre-season).
Afterwards I went to New Zealand on a working holiday visa for 5 months. There I worked at a farms for 3 months (harvesting blackberries, potatoes and unions).
Back home I started my professional career as a sales engineer. After three years I switched jobs internally to become a Project Purchaser for the next 4 years.
The last 6 years I’ve worked as an Initial Buyer, responsible for setting up, and executing the purchase plan for the ‘Parts Manufacturing’ department.
Resigned from my job in July 2023 to start my Pan American road trip.
I speak Dutch, English and German fluently, a bit of French and currently developing my Spanish.
Furthermore I love all kinds of sports (mainly volleyball and mountain biking), read, watch movies/series, having a good time with family and friends and of course traveling.
