Hello! Bonjour!

My name is Jessica, and I’m a Brazilian-Italian currently living in Austria. I’m an engineer specializing in hydrology and flood resilience, but I’ve also discovered a passion for the culinary arts, especially French cuisine, during my time working as a chef de partie. My life has been shaped by a love of learning, connecting with others, and embracing new experiences.

I’m deeply motivated by the idea of making a positive impact in the world, whether through my work in disaster management or by simply sharing moments of kindness and collaboration with others. I thrive in cross-cultural environments and believe that the exchange of knowledge, stories, and traditions enriches everyone involved.

Cooking and art bring me immense happiness—I find joy in creating something beautiful or delicious and sharing it with others. I also love spending time in nature, whether it’s skiing in the Alps, gardening, or exploring new places on foot. These activities keep me grounded and inspired.

Currently, I’m learning German and French, as I believe language is a bridge to understanding and connection. Volunteering in France would allow me to practice the language while diving deeper into the culture I’ve admired for years.

I’m happy to help with a variety of tasks, from cooking and gardening to teaching or organizing. My experience as an engineer has made me resourceful and great at problem-solving, while my time as a chef taught me to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
