Description

I am a 26 year old from australia who loves to be in the outdoors. I have always gravitated towards physical work as well as work that engages with the local community (hospitality, disability support work and labouring). I have been working in the community art space in Alice Springs NT for 2 years now, as a disability support worker in an indigenous art centre and am always interested in the use of art as a means of health care.
More personally, I love listening to people's stories and connecting through conversation and silliness. I have a passion for writing and am trying to use my spare time to engage with this side of me more. I also love soccer, am always found in the kitchen getting my creatives juices out with music always on. I'd love to meet some interesting people as well as get my body moving and help out whatever way I can

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I feel like I embody the phrase "jack of all trades, master of none". I've always loved getting into new tasks and learning. So have a variety of experience with different types of work. During covid I helped an elderly woman renovate her house (paint stripping, painting), I have worked for a handy woman business, I worked as a labourer on a construction site doing mostly manual labour and using tools, I worked as a landscape labourer for a year and a half (mowing lawns, earth moving, mulching, planting etc). I have a background in hospitality and disability support work, which I feel makes me a personable friendly person to have around.
Whilst I have engaged with these skills I am by no means an expert. And am very open to guidance and new skill building with someone's guidance or on my own :)

I have worked in the creative arts space in Alice Springs NT for 2 years now. Working in an art centre as a disability support worker. I am very passionate about the role that creative arts can play as a means of health care.
I enjoy being creative as well as active (soccer is a big one). I think a big part of life is the ability to create joy and silliness and beauty and would love to spend my time on a workaway doing just that.
