Description
Hi! My name is Lucas. I’m 25 years old and from Sweden. I hold an MSc in industrial engineering and have also studied geoscience. I’m currently in a gap between jobs for a couple of months, and I want to use this time to do something exciting! I enjoy exploring new places and cultures, socializing with new people, and making friends from around the world.
What I find most interesting about Workaway is the opportunity to explore new cultures from the perspective of the local people, rather than as a tourist. As a person, I strive to approach life with curiosity, embracing new experiences and leading with an open heart. Previously, I have been traveling a lot in Europe and I have also done abroad semesters through universities in both Italy and the US.
I see myself as a natural problem-solver who thrives on new experiences and challenges. Also, I love nature and being outside. Because of that, I believe that I will do a great job at whatever host that accepts me, and it will be a mutually beneficial relationship for us both.

Besides work experience in industrial engineering and project management, I’ve previously worked with gardening and painting. Also, I’ve experience in the service sector as a bartender and entrance host at different restaurants and nightclubs. Lastly, I’m a curious person and looking to learn new skills as well!
