Description
Hi, my name is Marina. I really like to explore new places and to get to know foreign cultures. From July 2024 to May 2025 I made my greatest wish come true and went on a world trip - alone! I did two workaways, one in Canada at a horse ranch and one in Hawai'i at a family's place, and was able to experience life from a different perspective. Then I travelled through Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan while finishing my master thesis in Data Science. Now I'm back home in Vienna, Austria and want to discover new places in my own country.
I really love to go out in the nature, but I also enjoy reading a book at home. I think I'm more an introvert than extrovert, but that doesn't keep me from being curious about other people's lives! I would describe myself as open-minded, ambitious and reliable. With workaway, I would love to make a lot of unforgettable memories and to meet interesting people from all around the world!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I'm an all through animal lover and I can imagine to work with animals during my workaway stays. I spent my first 14 years with a dog and offered dog-sitting for a while. When I was young, I was riding horses once a week. In summer 2024, I worked two months at a horse ranch in Canada. I learned a lot about horses in general, but everything which is part of ranch life, like building fences, cutting fire wood, and a lot more. I'm a very hard worker, but for sure, I want to enjoy life as much as possible.
I'm a very structured and organised person, I usually like to have a plan. I'm always trying to give my best for all the tasks which have to be done. I like cooking a lot. When I visit foreign places, I want to try out local food and dishes.
Since I studied statistics and Data Science, I know some programming languages (R, Python) and I'm good at maths. I have experience with teaching maths for school kids, and I can teach German (my native language) or English.
