Description
Hello! My name is Miguel and I am from Spain.
Due to family reasons, I had to come back home when I had started to travel the world and I had to remain there for many years. Now, that I can make decisions thinking only about myself, I have decided to live my dream life and experience what I couldn't before.
I have lived in South America and Mexico for three years. From January 2018 to April 2021 I was living in Italy, focused in learning well the language and exploring the country. Now I'd like to enjoy the French culture as much as I have enjoyed the Italian. I have been living here for four years, trying to get a good level of french and to get to know its people, history and wildlife.
As a voluntary, I like to give you a hand with your everyday life and your projects. I think I work better in an autonomous way, with trust in my sens of responsibility. I like to face new challenges and to learn from your experiences and capacities.
The tasks I have most enjoyed were in relation to carpentry. Unfortunately I have not had many possibilities to do this genre of voluntary. So, if your project is related to this, I'd love to be part of it.
To me, it's also very important to connect on a personal level: have fun and interesting conversations, to get to know different points of view and ways to approach life... Both private time and time to stay together. If you want to show me your region, that would be great. I like to share good moments together and, when leaving your home, to take with me something good and to leave to you something good.
I like writing and I did a course in screen writing in Rome in 2021-2022. I love to stay with artists, no matter what artistic expression they develop. The same with people who had traveled the world, but none of this conditions is mandatory.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
It's been more than 7 years that I do workaway in Europe. During this time I have faced many different host's profiles and voluntary works. I think that this variety has help me to develop flexibility and adaptability to diverse characters and environments (high mountain, religious communities, yoga centers, people living on their own, aged people, young couples...)
I had coped with many different tasks, from gardening to horses care, from grape harvest to cider making, from arranging theatrical decorations to house-sitting, repairs, wood chopping, orchards, cutting hedges, dog-sitting, greenhouse assembly ... I like to perform my tasks with care and commitment.
As a trade, I have been for many years receptionist in a four stars hotel. I speak English (one year living in Ireland in 2001-2002) In Italian, I have the C2 diploma, native level. In French, I have now the C1 diploma. If you are interested in a workaway related to hotels, guest houses or apartments, we can talk about that.
I think that if you like doing things well and you are not afraid of hard working, you can handle everything in life. I would like to learn new things from your experiences, capacities and abilities

Miguel's stay and his work and commitment to the community were simply impressive. His ease to be as well with others as with himself during work or in the leisure time were greatly appreciated. We are happy to know that he will return again 2019 for several weeks.

Miguel spent 10 days with us and we're very thankful for his help! The work at the opening of the season was pretty tough for us and Miguel teamed up with us with a very positive attitude!
