Description
Hello. I'm a 38 year old Norwegian who loves to travel of the beaten path and get to know different places and people in the world. I've been an active CouchSurfer since 2010 (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/nilsjorgen) , both as host and traveler. I've been a host here on WorkAway recently (https://www.workaway.info/en/host/451287661289), and would love to try being on the other end here as well.
The WorkAway philosophy is very similar to the Norwegian traditional cabin philosophy: relaxation feels some much better when you've done some work first. I especially like making firewood, small carpentry, demolition, gardening/small scale farming, recycling and a lot of other things. Having grown up on a small strawberry farm and recently started a renovation project on a farmhouse, I have some experience with many different things.
I've always been concerned with the state of our planet, and try to keep my consumption at a minimum. I've been big on dumpsterdiving for soon to be 20 years.
When I'm not working, I like being in nature, reading a book (preferably some history of the place I'm visiting) and a lot of typical nerd interests (board games, computer games, comics). My profession is clinical psychologist.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have a broad experience with things relating to renovation and farming, but not very deep. The exception would be firewood (felling trees, chainsaw, splitting, stacking), which I have done a lot. But I know how to put up a drywall, lay roof plates, simple use of an excavator, pollard, grow potatoes, gut fish and so on. My experience comes from growing up on a farm in a family with very handy people, and recently from undertaking the renovation of a big farm house here in Norway.
