Hello, my name is Pedro. I am Brazilian and currently living in Canada as a permanent resident. I enjoy traveling and getting to know new places and people. I’ve worked as an Economist and Business Consultant, delivering courses and providing consulting services for family businesses — a field I remain passionate about.

I also have a strong interest in languages. I am a native Portuguese speaker and have spoken English since childhood. Since 2023, I have also been fluent in French.

I’m someone who is always eager to learn, who enjoys noticing the details of everyday life, and who values meaningful, hands-on experiences. I currently hold a full G driver's license and other official documents from the province of Ontario. At the moment, I’m staying at a home in the Toronto area through a Workaway experience.

I am now looking to apply for paid Workaway positions, preferably in Ontario.

I can teach Portuguese; I am a native speaker of this language. I can understand Spanish. I can speak English and French and have taken tests in these two languages for an immigration process to Canada. My level in both English and French it's advanced. Now In Canada for live I'm improving even more my language skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Since arriving in Canada in February, I have completed three Workaway experiences that allowed me to develop and apply a wide range of practical skills. I have helped care for an elderly person with health issues, assisted with cooking and general maintenance in a vegetarian household, and, in my current placement, I’ve been involved in building a sidewalk, doing general house repairs, gardening, and landscaping. In addition to these hands-on experiences, I previously worked extensively with spreadsheets and software in my career in Brazil. A significant part of my job was computer-based, and I also focused on customer communication. I performed financial calculations to assess the viability of new businesses and provided advice to solve financial issues in existing ones.

I also have basic DIY skills. I've assembled furniture, painted walls, and completed small electrical and plumbing repairs. Furthermore, having lived on a farm in Brazil, I’m familiar with basic tractor operation and have knowledge of crops such as soybeans, corn, and various garden vegetables.

Well, I really enjoy cycling, gym exercises, and other sports, but I also love eating good food: pizza, hamburgers, feijoada (a typical Brazilian dish). It's all about balance—I do a lot of physical exercise, but I'm quite liberal about food and like to eat all kinds of meals. I also enjoy trying different beverages. I'm not a smoker. I respect everyone and appreciate inclusive and welcoming environments.
