Description
Maria:
I’m from Spain and I grew up in the countryside so I have a deep appreciation for nature and gardening. We have a big house that my parents built so I’m used to the chores and maintenance that a big house needs.
I’m a nurse and currently studying my second degree in psychology online. As a nurse I’m used to working with children, since it’s always been part of my job. I have 2 beautiful nieces of 8 and 10 years old of which I had the joy of seeing them grow up. I enjoy spending time with them although I know it is sometimes hard work. But most of the time I feel more like a child when I play with them!
I’ve lived abroad before, in France, while I was finishing my degree, as a volunteer in an eco association that worked for the preservation of the wildlife of Normandy.
One of my passions is cooking which I learned from my grandma. In the past years I’ve been learning to cook dishes from different cultures, like chinese, indian, etc.
Ariel:
I’m from Canada and I’ve been living in Europe for 5 years now. Traveling is something I inherited from my mother, she loved it and I continue it, going all over the globe.
In high school, my mom put me in a bunch of handiwork classes such as carpentry and electricity. I quite enjoyed studying it!
Some of my hobbies include film, reading and drawing. All of which I’ve been enjoying since I was a child. This led me to pursue a career in film while I worked as an english teacher.
I've done a couple of Workaways before including working in a hostel and another in an animal sanctuary. From working with people to taking care of animals or simply construction/maintenance work, I've enjoyed all of my experiences! So now I'm happy to go out again and now with my partner.
