Hi there! We’re Sthefani and Ricky, a Brazilian-American couple currently traveling full-time and looking for meaningful ways to connect with people around the world.

We’ve spent the last few years working, saving, and planning for this journey, and now we’ve finally made the leap. We let go of our apartment, sold all of our things, packed two backpacks, and decided to set off with open hearts and open minds. We don’t have a strict plan or timeline, just the desire to travel slowly, meet people, and learn through real-life experiences.

We’re easygoing, respectful, and curious about how people live in different parts of the world. We love the idea of being part of someone’s daily life, even for a short time; whether that means helping with projects, sharing meals, or simply exchanging stories and experiences.

We’re here to offer our help wherever it’s needed, and just as importantly, we’re here to learn. We believe that every person, every place, and every task has something to teach us, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to be part of that exchange.

We’re looking forward to meeting you and seeing what we can build, share, and learn together along the way.

Language is a big part of our lives. I (Sthefani) work as a professional linguist and have a passion for learning and sharing languages. I speak Portuguese and English fluently, and intermediate German and Spanish, so I’m more than happy to help others practice or improve their language skills; whether it’s through casual conversation or more structured learning. We’re also both very interested in learning new languages or local expressions wherever we go, even if it’s just a few words to connect better with the community. We’d love to be part of any cultural or language exchange, whether it’s helping someone practice English or Portuguese or learning a few words in your language!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Ricky has a hands-on background working at sea on ships and later in hospitals fixing medical equipment, so he’s great with tools, repairs, and technical work. I (Sthefani) work as a professional linguist, and I love languages, communication, and connecting with people from different cultures. I speak Portuguese, English, and some German and Spanish.

We’re pretty flexible and open to trying new things. We’ve done a bit of everything; helped on goat farms, cooked and cleaned for families, done general maintenance around homes, and looked after animals. Back home in Brazil, my (Sthefani's) family runs a pet store, and together we help care for nearly 20 dogs, so we’re very comfortable with animals and the daily work that comes with it.

We’re both easygoing, curious people who enjoy getting involved in different types of projects, whether it’s helping around the house, working in the garden, taking care of animals, or lending a hand with daily chores.

More than anything, we’re hoping to learn from others; how they live, what they value, and their outlook on life. We love the idea of sharing skills, stories, and experiences while being part of a community, even if just for a short time.

We’re happy to adapt to whatever is needed and always do our best to be helpful and respectful guests.

When we’re not working or volunteering, we love being outdoors, going on long walks or hikes, and spending time in small towns or local markets. We also enjoy cooking together, trying new recipes from the places we visit, and winding down with board games or card games in the evenings.

We like to travel slowly, using buses, trains, or boats whenever possible, since we enjoy seeing the journey just as much as the destination. We’ve worked toward this lifestyle for several years and are now lucky to have the freedom to travel long-term without a fixed timeline or plan. We’re open to wherever the road takes us, looking for experiences that let us connect with people, learn new ways of living, and give back through simple, meaningful work.
