Actuellement, je suis

Description

I am an adventurous free spirit. I like traveling with a purpose: meeting the locals and experiencing their culture, as well as giving something back in the form of volunteer work and cultural exchanges. Other than that, I am reasonably easy-going, hardworking and determined. I enjoy solitude and time alone, and can be quite self-reliant if need be.

My interests lie in humanitarian action and human rights, as well as conservation and biodiversity protection (I am a Biologist/Ecologist by training). Since then I have worked as a Biodiversity Ranger, before gaining an additional qualification as an English as a second Language Teacher (CELTA). This has led me to parts of Europe, China and Chile.

I like to learn a little bit of the local language, wherever I am. I have learnt a poquito Espanol and i dian Hanyu in this way. I also know a bit of Te Reo (indigenous language of New Zealand) and have taught English as a second language in China. It would be nice to exchange languages if you're interested!

-- Horticultural (experience working in commercial orchards in NZ & Australia, grading fruit for local/export market, plant disease identification)
-- Botanical (plant identification and surveys)
--Agricultural (Sheep/beef/dairy farms in NZ, animal husbandry)
--Zoological (Handling of wild birds & insects for study + identification & field monitoring)
-- Housekeeping: general cleaning, cooking and household skills. I can also bottle fruit and make jam on the more traditional side of things :)
