  For the Hostel we are looking help with art, murals and design! (Year round)
  
  For the Foundation, we are particularly looking for English teachers (with inter-mediate+ Spanish), Football coaches and Activities volunteers (to support multi-sports activities and drive volunteer guest engagement in the hostel) - AVAILABLE IN SEPTEMBER.
  
  We are an award-winning hostel situated on the Rio Buritaca, around 10 minutes by car from the Caribbean coast of Colombia. We run a Foundation from the hostel that runs peace-building, educational, sporting, environmental and wellbeing projects to positively impact our local community.
  
  FOR THE FOUNDATION, we are looking for:
  
  1. Volunteer Community English teachers and Tutors (Available from Early Oct) to support our six local teachers - Must have at least intermediate Spanish and be available for 6+ weeks. The role is to teach job specific to adults in the community and support our daily tutoring sessions for local children ages 7 - 13. Our last 5 volunteer supporting teachers have rated the experience 10/10 :)
  
  2. - Foundation activities volunteer (Available from Sept) - supporting our 12 local coaches on our sports and arts programmes in our local communities, driving fundraising in the hostel and hyping volunteering opportunities to our guests. Must be available for 4 + weeks and the longer the better :) - We have football clubs every day now so a FOOTBALL COACH or someone with lots of love and enthusiasm for football would be particularly great :)
  
  3. Social media marketing volunteer to run our Foundation Instagram account. Would ideally be able to stay 2+ months. Helping us to communicate the impact and joy of our seven community programmes to our partners, crowdfunders, friends and potential volunteer guests :)
  
  4. Film makers and photographers to make a short film/great photo content to promote our Foundation. Best to combine with social media role if possible. Available year-round.
  
  5. An Environmental education teacher /expert - must speak fluent Spanish and have a background in environmental studies. The role would be to help with our environmental education and recycling and waste management programme. Available year round with the right experience level - If you are also able to teach English or support one of the other roles above would be absolutely perfect for us.
  
  6. Grant writers - With previous experience of writing successful grant applications in charitable sector to help us attract external funding to our community projects. Welcome anytime :)
  
  We can offer all 3 meals and accommodation, free laundry service twice per week, and discounted drinks, in exchange for 4-5 hours help a day (5 days a week). Accommodation almost always starts in a large volunteer dorm or four person foundation room, although the longer you are volunteering the more likely it will be that you upgrade to a small private room (normally 2+ months in the dorm first).
  
  Our site is a stunning 2-hectare plot of land with a unique river beach and natural pool. We enjoy daily visits from humming birds and howler monkeys and the Caribbean is a 25-minute walk away.
  
  We also have a wide variety of activities available in and around the hostel: table tennis, pool, paddleboards, volleyball, football, tubing and loads of amazing beaches: Parque Tayrona, waterfalls, entrance to lost city, sunrise hike and much more.

  The surrounding area is quintessentially Colombian - we are in a very rural location with plenty of fun things to do in the area and lots of other hostels nearby

  We are looking for a native Spanish speaking teachers both for our Indigenous Community programme and for our Tutoring and Community English programme. TEFL qualified is also a bonus.
  
  The Foundation volunteer/multi-sports coach role is to promote our daily Foundation activities to hostel guests and encourage them to come along and volunteer with us. There is also the opportunity to go out everyday and run fun sport or arts sessions with kids in our local area. We are looking for someone who is fun, sociable, reliable and who is happy to approach all guests staying in the hostel to tell them about the Foundation. Spanish speaking also desirable but not essential.
  
  There are also big painting opportunities both in the hostel and in the community and the opportunity to teach art to local children through our Foundation.
  
  Film makers and photographers always welcome :) and anyone with social media experience!!
  
  And someone to help support our year round environmental education programme in our local community would be fantastic!!

  Smaller 4 bed shared dorm for Foundation teachers. Although temporary accommodation is in a medium sized tent.

  Palomino, Parque Tayrona, Minca, Santa Marta, Taganga and La Guajira desert are all perfect day off excursions. The collectivo bus that runs between Santa Marta and Palomino is 10 minutes from the property, we can also organise transport to take you to and from Buritaca.
  
  We are 25 minutes from the ocean and there are plenty of walks in the hills close by. Rancho Relaxo and Costeño Beach are our closest neighbours, both of which are great for any time off.
