Steen shares his lifestyle and story like a good book, you read few more pages everyday and don't want to finish it! I learnt different things including new hobbies,

Nous avons désherbé et aménagé le jardin de Théïs durant une semaine. L'endroit, tout proche de la mer(200m) est fabuleux!! C'était le grand calme au coeur d'une merveilleuse nature sauvage! La confiance de Théïs nous a permis d'organiser le travail comme nous le souhaitions en prenant des initiatives qu'il a encouragées et beaucoup appréciées!

La très belle petite cabane fraîchement construite dans le jardin était notre chambre. Nous partagions la salle de bain et la cuisine dans la maison
et prenions les repas sains ensemble. Vous
pourrez admirer les couchers de soleil quotidiennement et visiter les alentours empreints de l'histoire des Vikings. Des
randonnées sont possibles au départ de la maison. Nous avons pu cuisiner librement.

During ten days Pilar transformed the outside woodwork of the house from being in a very bad condition maintenance wise to look like new, with a fresh new colour that is a joy to see every day, and will last the next ten years! I also learned some really wonderful, but easy, recipees from Spain, and she contributed with a constant positive spirit

Hi Workawayers!
Last August I was in Denmark, near Copenhagen, and I had a wonderful time with a great host: Steen.
It was my first workaway experience and it was excellent! Steen, is a good person and very polite man. He came to pick me up at the airport and showed me his country, cultur and history. I learned a lot from the viking history and
… read more Danish people, therefore I feel very grateful to Steen. He was a great ambassador of Denmark! What a beautiful country and people!
Besides, I would like to add that we had a very interesting and intelligent conversations. We did plenty of things together like kayaking, sightseeing in Copenhagen, and beautiful nice walkings in nature and around the fjord that is very close to his house.
I stayed a little bit more than a week in his house doing very different tasks, such as sand the wood façade, back and front, treat it with oil and paint it. I also cook some Spanish and vegan recipies, clean, cut the grass, gardening and pick up some wild berries. 😋 I loved work outdoor and I loved to have contributed to help him in all these duties and also share my experience and learn new things. 😊
All in all, I recommend this awesome experience and host.

I stayed with Steen for two months. I had a pleasant stay with him. I slept in a small cabin next to the house, a little cocoon where I could spend time for myself, organize my trip and reflect on my life plans.
