If someone wants to approach horses for the first time, it is the perfect place to be able to fall in love with them. I learned to look at them with new eyes and to live moments with simplicity. I also loved working with children, helping out on trekking, lessons, greasing the saddles, picking up corn on the field ... To live a life into the nature.

… read more coaching me on the Parelli training. I was so excited to have learned so much about your horses and Parelli, and Western riding while working with you. It's so rare and nice to meet people who really have a love for their work and the animals they work with. It was great cooking with Denise and learning about polenta and strangolapreti (yum!), and doing some carpentry with Mario - I highly enjoyed the power sander machine haha, and chucking hay out the back of the tractor with Andrea at the wheel was good craic (fun) too. Had a wonderful time at Cavedine with Mario, Denise, Giulia and Andrea during the month I was there. They were so welcoming and made every to make sure i was comfortable.
The works to be done are varied and really enjoyable, I even had the chance to be with the horses a lot of time and learn about riding techniques.

I had plenty of time to explore the area (cities like Trento or Bolzano are easily reached by public transport;
the landscapes that are seen from the town are amazing) and to relax in my room if needed.
I definitely recommend this workaway for all those animal lovers who want to know the places and culture of Italy!

It's been a while since I left Giulia's family and realised I forgot to leave feedback so I'm doing it now. They have an amazing family, home and ranch with the most beautiful horses. I had no prior experience with horses so I didn't get as many chances to ride because the ranch is very busy, but I still learned a lot and had a great time. The
… read more work was mostly cleaning, feeding and saddling the horses and taking care of the garden. The area's beautiful, everyone's super friendly and Denise is an amazing chef-the food is real, healthy and delicious. I recommend it to everyone who loves horses, nature and silence, is okay with spending time alone and speaks at least a little Italian because the language barrier is a huge factor in developing a relationship with the people at the ranch. … read more keep everything operating smoothly and made sure I was comfortable and settled in. The work was what I’d expected - cleaning the paddock, feeding the horses, tending to the garden and helping out with the summer camps - and even the more repetitive tasks felt quite meditative. I really enjoyed working with the children, even though the language barrier made it a bit difficult to get my point across at times. Thank goodness for a few little bilingual gems who participated one week! The other Italian volunteers were also super friendly and willing to help me out with translation. Im so grateful to Giulia for trusting me enough to work with the children and horses and for giving me countless opportunities to play and ride. She often invited me to join her on trail rides with the guests, which exposed me to the beauty of the valley as well as gave me the chance to build confidence on the horse’s back. This experience has definitely reignited my passion for natural horsemanship and the desire to once again establish and deepen bonds with these incredible animals. I got so much out of my stay here: fell in love with a horse or two, made some wonderful new friends, developed a taste for orzo coffee, and learned how to communicate in albeit VERY basic and broken Italian (I’ll look back fondly on silly moments with Denise in the kitchen, and conversations about horse psychology with Mario). I stayed with Giulia's family for a month, it was my first workaway experience and I couldn't be happier.

… read more some horse hacks and the surroundings are just unbelievably beautiful! I just loved working at the horsefarm. After hours of hard work there was always time for a 'ranch coffee' made by Mario that I just loved.
I also really enjoyed spending time with the family and everyone I met, they were all very kind to me and made me feel at home from the start. We shared experiences, customs and traditions, spent lunches and dinners chatting and teaching each other our respective languages and finding similarities between our cultures. The food Denise and Giulia made was delicious, I loved the Italian cuisine and ate things I've never had eaten. I miss everybody already!
All in all, I am extremely happy to have spent this time with you guys, and I can't wait to come back. Thank you Giulia, Mario, Denise and Andrea for welcoming me to your house and making this past month such a lovely experience.

… read more busy time for us at the ranch, but he integrated immediately with everyone and he learned everything very quickly. His help, patience and interest with kids during riding lessons has been priceless and even if he didn’t have so much experience with horses, he learned super quickly how to ride naturally and to communicate with horses successfully that he could ride without any problem! We loved listening to him telling about his travels and experiences around the world and his passion for nature, yoga and meditation. He also taught us a special vegan recipe that becomes our specialty! It is delicious!! :)
He is very autonomous, reliable and hard-working.
