… read more helped me the most there with anything I needed. I shared my bedroom with other women and I felt very comfortable with them. I made solid friendship with Angela who helped me in there. The work was very easy and calm, I used to work From 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. making check in and out for the guests, attending them, and answering phone calls about the hostel, but there were also flexibility with shifts. There I’ve met wonderful people who always helped me from diferente places all over the world. The Hostel’s guests were always friendly and there I was able to practice Spanish, english and even had contact with other languages. I would love to come back again. If you are looking for an opportunity with cultural changes, languages practice and a lot of free time in Barcelona this is the perfect opportunity for you. Thank you Usman!!!!!

… read more bueno, en mi caso sufrí acoso leve de parte de un par de huéspedes, pero creo que es cuestión de ponerles los límites y todo estará bien. De todos modos siempre hay alguien pendiente a quien recurrir ante cualquier duda o inquietud.
Me hubiese gustado poder quedarme más tiempo por allí. :D

… read more have at home, but look forward to meet amazing people, to live in a multicultural atmosphere and to enjoy all the benefits that an amazing city like Barcelona has to offer.
I worked at the reception and I liked very much my job because I had the chance to help people from all over the world while practicing the languages I know. Sometimes I did more hours than I was supposed to do, but I had always a free day after doing this, so it was okey.
I would like to thank Usman for being such a reliable and available person and for having helped me organising my stay with trasports and visits. Thanks also to Gagan for having explained me all the work I had to do in such a clear way. I would like to say thanks to all the staff, Khan in particularly for being so fun and sharing amazing Afghanistan’s food. Last but not least, I would like to express my thanks to all the new friends I have made, specially Livia (Lita) that shared this month with me and enriched so much my experience. It was really cool to have a mate with whom hang out or party, I am glad that I met her and now we still keep in touch.
Barcelona is wow, an incredible city made for the youngest. You have history, modernism, beach, all kind of restaurants, clubs, art.. everything! The hostel neighborhood is really quiet and it is over a hill, near Horta. With the bus or the metro you can reach every part of the city, but it takes in average something like 30/40 minutes. Consider always some walk, specially if you go out at night and don’t get scared of the stairways (you will keep fit this way). I don’t regret being there beacause I had such a good time, all in all.
My first workaway was the coolest experience that I ever had. I felt free to be myself and to do anything I wanted to. Thanks again to everyone! Hope to see you soon.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

I spent a week there and it was a really good experience. The workmates, the guests and Usman were very friendly and patient. I didn't expect such a good treatment by Usman and his team to be honest: I felt as a part of the family. I learned different things and I encourage people who are seeking a workaway experience to try it out with them.
