  The Intag valley is a natural reservation which permits a quiet special acess to his exotic and unique wildlife Ecuadors to his visitors. The zone extends from the Andes to the coast of Esmeraldas and accomodates many different types of landscapes and with this a really divers flora and fauna. Take a look!
  
  Would you like to live a couple moths/weeks there?
  
  Well, you can!!! Let me first tell u about us:
  
  We are Emilio (9), Julieta (11), Andrea (40), and Javier (42).
  We are from Guayaquil, living now in the Intag Valley, in Cotacachi, Imbabura. In 2020 we took the decision: leave the city and go to the mountains. It has been an amazing experience. Unforntantly, access to quality education isn´t this land´s speciallty. That´s why we are looking for a native english speaking teacher who wants to live a couple month in this sacred Valley, while help/work with us in the education of our children.
  
  Here you can visit waterfalls, communities, you can find archeological ruins, there is the Gualiman Temple, you can learn about the history behind the mountains, about coffee´s or sugar cane process (and many others), learn about defense of the environment, the ancestral, the social. We seek to provide you info and opportunity of experience so you can learn about our culture and history, while teaching our children.
  
  We hope you will become a part of our family.... even if for a short period!

  Here you can find a very quit place to enjoy nature and andinan culture. Living here is a dream come true. Have you hear about white noise? Well, in our home there's nowhere you can't hear the river, the birds, .. It surrounds you, and refresh you everyday. Here you can find more than 900 butterflies species, and our children love learning about them. Just staying here you can find many birds, insects, reptiles and witness the metamorphosis of many of them, especially the butterflies! Cotacachi is also know for our ancestral midwifery and indigenous healing. You can contact them easily in our community.
  
  The Intag Zone, is located 58 km southwest of Cotacachi, the sacred valley of Intag, surrounded by majestic landscapes, rivers and waterfalls with crystal clear waters; It has forests and valleys of great natural beauty where there is the opportunity to explore trails and enjoy spectacular viewpoints, also fall in love with nature, through the sighting of birds and mammals; live unique experiences with families and entrepreneurial groups in the manufacture of products based on aloe vera, the manufacture of handicrafts of lufa, cabuya and learn about the process of making organic coffee grown in agroecological farms in the area.

  Ajuda

  We are very interest in learning from your culture and your language. We think you will enjoy going out with our kids and with patience and fun, teach them in the nature!
  
  We need you to do the following shores with them:
  - gardening and orchard,
  - learn your language in a fun way,
  - do excersice with our children 4 times a week,
  - help us in the kitchen (we all do the house shores, you will be part of our family) (of course, if you need more privacy, we are very respectful, but in case you need to feel home, we could be your home as you are with us)
  - help us making projects with Juli and Emilio(decoration, new recipes, organization, we want to build a clay oven, a tree house).
  
  In other words, we need someone active! 5 day a week. Monday to friday from 14pm to 19pm, Do you have a plan for us? We would love to read it.

  You will have your own room and bathroom, with own entrance. You can have breakfast, snack and meal with us, our by yourself, I served it every day.
  
  Please notice we only have accommodation for one person, or for two who share the same room and bathroom.

  The Intag valley, high up in the Andes of north-west Ecuador, is a peaceful place. Forested mountains are blanketed so thickly in fog that the sub-tropical rainforests are known as cloud forests.
  
  These forests shelter a biodiverse treasure in the plants and animals found here – many of which are critically endangered or at risk of extinction. Some are found nowhere else on earth. A study in 2018 found 287 endangered species in the Intag area alone. That number keeps going up as new species are discovered.
  
  These include emblematic animals such as the Andean spectacled bear, the coastal jaguar and the brown-headed spider monkey, as well as birds, orchids and many of the rarest amphibians in the world.
  
  The region is the buffer zone for a UNESCO world biodiversity hotspot - the Tropical Andes Hotspot - which also includes the famous Cotacachi-Cayapas National Park and the Los Cedros Reserve.
  
  We are looking forward to help the local government and communities with the "Intag Santuario de Vida' (Sanctuary of Life) initiative, promoting protection of the region's vulnerable biodiversity from mining and the setting up of sustainable economies.

  Since this is a Cloud Forest, it rains a lot sometimes.. and it contribuits to bad reception. We also work online, so we have 2 internet services.
