I stayed with Cristina, Luca, Gregorio and Ernesto for 6 days. From the beginning I was involved in their everyday life. The weekend I arrived was a busy one for the family and I helped with the boys as an extra adult present when they were at all their activities. I got to visit Perugia twice while I waited for Gregorio to finish his bike
… read more training which was a treat as I didn’t know I would have the time. The family is lovely and very wholesome. They are welcoming and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. I went bouldering one of the days and Luca paid for my entrance which was so generous! The two boys are shy but very sweet. I found bonding with them over things that don’t involve language was good and they seemed to enjoy themselves; for example, Gregorio and I watched a documentary together (English subtitles), we hung like monkeys on the roof beams, he showed me all his trophies and played me some music. I also did a puzzle with them and played some soccer with Ernesto.
The work is super chill, many days I felt like I hadn’t done anything to help so I tried and tidy up the kitchen, dishes and garden when I could. I had a lot of free time and was able to explore the nearby lake and islands. Cristina is lovely and such a great mum, you can tell how much she loves her boys. She shared her interests with me and book recommendations as well. I enjoyed my time and I hope we meet again!Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Katherina)
Katherina was part of our family for 6 days. It was an enriching experience having her with us.
My sons really enjoyed having her around and she was really helpful, especially when I had to work and she was looking after my boys. She even asked to help with the house work, she helped in the garden and with washing. She is a very clean and keeps

During the time we spent together she shared with us very interesting experiences from her travels, her hikings, her life in Vancouver as a doughter of an artist and her profession as specialized in brain recovery therapy. She is a very serious and reliable person. A thing we'll always remember is how she tought us prepare and drink mate in the traditional Argentianian way and the delicious carrot salad she prepared.
What we also loved is that she organized her outdoor or sports acivity by herself, she managed in moving around the area very well, independently, since I didn t have the possibiliy to take her around because of work.
She even had time to read a novel while she was here. I WAS AMAZED by all she could do in such a short time. I can say I learnt a lot from her. It was an honour to have her with us. Thank you Katherina

I stayed over a week with this family and what a magical way to experience Italy. From the beginning Cristina and the family welcomed me with open arms and went out of their way to make me comfortable. Luca went out of his way to pick me up and we spoke in Italian/french/english together. Gregorio and Ernesto are super sweet and respectful. Since
… read more they’re a little shy, it takes a little effort to open them up, and if I spoke more Italian I think we could have connected more. The work was very light and casual, watching the boys when their parents weren’t home and helping a bit around the house. I had lots of free time to work remotely and my own space. In a short time they took me on many little trips to Nona’s, Ernesto’s soccer game, Lago di Trasimeno, Perugia, African dance class, family lunch, etc. and made me part of the family. Cristina and I had many amazing and deep chats and I felt so lucky to have landed in her home and made a wonderful new friend. Cristina is an amazing human and mom. Overall an unforgettable experience!!!Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Rachael)

She spent time with my children while I was at work, she helped in the house and we had a great time together talking and sometimes, when possible, we would go out for walks. I am very happy we had the chance to meed such a joyous person.

This was my second ever Workaway, and it was an amazing experience. Cristina is an incredibly kind, caring and selfless person, and made me feel at home straight away. Her kids are both sporty and playful, and spending time with them was a pleasure! Her husband, Luca spoke enough English for us to get on, and he is a very patient, hard worker. I

I got a truly authentic experience, and Cristina & Luca were kind enough to take me & the boys exploring across Italy to see lakes, go on hikes, do obstacle courses etc. Magione is a beautiful place, by a pretty lake where we went canoeing, and they even have a really good gym which I got to go to. I couldn’t have asked for more, so all that is left to say is a massive thank you :)Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.
