We are an adventurous couple, Renata is 42 year old who enjoys travelling and sharing experiences, Ben is 35 and enjoys travelling, following the all blacks, baking a great focaccia and playing cricket on the weekends.
Renata was born in São Paulo, Brazil but moved to London 24 years ago. Ben is from New Zealand and has been living in London for the past 8 years. Renata studied media and advertising but her heart was set in helping people so she became a nurse, which has been her career for over 10 years.
Ben is a structural engineer and loves seeing one of his projects complete and being enjoyed by the people it was designed for.
After decades of intense working and studying, we decided to take a break and see the world. We started in October 2023 in South America, visiting 13 countries and meeting the most amazing people on the way. We are now in Eastern Africa, we will eventually end in Ben's home country for Christmas.
In our spare time we like cooking and watching cooking competition shows, although my food is definitely nowhere near that kind of standard. We enjoy trying different kinds of food from different places and sometimes learning how to make them. We tried anticuchos (cow heart) in Peru and really enjoyed it! Not so keen on sea urchins but might try it again if someone thinks they can change our mind.
We're looking forward to adding to our experiences and seeing more of the world and its people.

Quais são suas habilidades?
In our careers we have to be problem solvers and that is also reflected in our daily home life. We look for creative solutions to problems, working with what we have at our disposal to try and fix things.
Renata enjoys learning languages, she speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish fluently and would be very pleased to help other people with their language skills. She also studied French and Ukrainian but her knowledge is still basic.
We are hands on kinda people, show us what to do and we will have a go. We had many jobs in the past, catering, cleaning, shop assistant, offices so have acquired skills related to people and computers, enjoying a good excel spreadsheet (a bit more than we are willing to admit)

We had a room at the small house within the family compound with all necessary amenities. Peter took us to town to do shopping and also to the lake for a delicious tilapia. We were really looked after well whilst having privacy.
