Hello!
We're Emily and David, a couple age 28 and 29 from Brighton, UK. We're both taking a long break from work to travel the world and volunteer throughout 2025!
Emily works for the National Health Service and David is a drama & piano teacher and an actor.
We are both passionate about nature and animals and hope to find volunteering projects geared towards those. We are looking for a physical challenge and don't mind getting our hands dirty.
Last year we volunteered in a dog shelter in Mexico for a month and had the most amazing experience. This inspired us to quit our jobs and do workaway long term (we haven't decided just how long yet!!)
We are friendly open minded people who don't take ourselves too seriously. Our hope is to do something that takes us out of our comfort zone. We love meeting new people and immersing ourselves in new cultures and ways of life.
We both know basic Spanish and David knows basic french - both hoping to improve at these!

There is a lot of work to do and it is fairly strenuous but you are given a lot of room to work at your own pace and schedule. The workday consists of clearing up poo, sweeping and replacing water and food. There will sometimes be… read more
