I'm moving from Florida to Oregon and am looking to do Workaways in various states along the way. Interested in any outdoor labor, gardening, or charity work, or really anything!

Hi! I am a passionate environmentalist looking to explore more of this big, beautiful world and to try and make an impact however I can. I love experiencing new cultures and places, and I always enjoy spending time immersed in nature.
I live in Florida and have lived in three other states in the US - North Carolina, Georgia, and Oregon. I am currently trying to move back to Oregon but want to take my time getting there and explore and work in different places as I go.
I love working outdoors with plants or just doing any kind of labor (that is what I've been doing for work for the past three years as an environmental scientist). I also enjoy engaging with the community in cleanups or other kinds of work as well.
I used Workaway last year when I visited Spain for two months and I truly LOVED the experience! It was so fun exploring different cultures and places and it felt great to know I was making a direct difference in the hosts' lives and homes. I really like working hard and feeling good about the work I'm doing and helping out however I can!

I enjoy any outdoor tasks.
I have experience working with plants (planting, weeding, fertilizing, seed collecting).
I can use power tools such as chain saw, string trimmer, etc.
I can clean and cook well enough.
I enjoy being artistic but am by no means an artist.
Basic ability to sew and knit.
Basic understanding of Spanish.
I enjoy singing and playing piano if you are looking for an entertainer :)

I hope to write a book one day; I have always loved reading and writing.

We really enjoyed Emily's stay here on her journey to the Northwest. She's friendly, flexible, and brings along a beautiful fluffy cat too. Emily sadly only stayed with us for 2 weeks but in those 2 weeks she was a delight to host.
During her stay she picked carobs, cleared the land. She is an absolute gem with a Strimmer/Weedwhacker. Working mainly unsupervised as I was not able to get down the terraces. She got on well with others and was a great hit with our dogs.
