Hey there, I'm Frieda!

I'm 23 years old and from Jena which is a small town in the middle of Germany. I've just about finished my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and am ready to clear my head and get out of the country for a while before I go back to study in fall. Finding out what it is that I want to do exactly, is a little goal of mine for this spring and summer.

A couple years back, I already spent almost a year travelling through workaway, so I feel like I know what it means to be a volunteer and work in return for the essentials. I went to Iceland to work at sheep, cow, horse farms as well as a little pizza restaurant on the East coast. And then I travelled to Ireland and Switzerland for a while where I mostly helped out with gardening and everything that entails. Wherever you need help, I'm sure that I can lend a hand and do my best to lighten the load!

When I'm not helping out, I love to go hiking in the mountains, visit beaches and go swimming. Exploring the nature on and around the land of my past workaway hosts, has always been the most fun for me. If you have the time, I'm eager to learn more about Portuguese culture and be shown the hidden natural gems of the area.

Quais são suas habilidades?

During other Workaway jobs, I worked with all kinds of animals, including cows, sheep, horses, chicken, dogs, ... .That's why, I would say that I know my way around a stable and how to act around these kinds of animals. I also helped out with some construction work, did several gardening jobs or simply helped out around the house and worked at different restaurants.

I consider myself to be a fast learner and a hard worker. Also I would say that I'm an uncomplicated housemate, since I‘m able to take care of myself. I‘m very flexible and up for anything!
