G’day! A bit about me; I’m super outdoorsy, looove animals and am looking to experience some ‘real’ Australian experiences while on my working holiday visa - I’m here most of 2025 :) happy to do house and pet sitting as well as the usual workaway farm/house/general work :)

I’m from Yorkshire, UK, and have a wide range of work experiences (and life experiences!) that means I can blend into new groups and settings quickly. I’m a hard worker who can work with initiative either independently or as part of a team. I have worked in a variety of customer service roles and have previously worked on a tourist farm attraction (part time) looking after animals as well as engaging with the public.

I’m a town planner by profession in the UK (so I’m extremely organised and used to dealing with a variety of tasks / managing a workload), and have a degree in Environmental Sciences, so I’m also interested in earthy / gardening type projects as well as outdoor education - I’d LOVE to learn about local wildlife and plants :)

I’m outgoing and have a campervan back home for exploring. I’ve solo thru-hiked in the Himalayas (Annapurna Circuit), the Tour du Mont Blanc, and the Alta Via 1 in the Italian Dolomites. I’ve also previously spent 6 months travelling New Zealand.

I’m honestly happy to do any kind of work, not afraid of getting ‘stuck in’, either with general housework or gardening, covered in mud or paint, or working with messy animals! Equally comfortable helping with kids although not really looking to be an au pair. Happy to reside with other workawayers and would be great to meet likeminded people, but do also enjoy my own space to recharge.

Work Experience:
- local government planning officer
- various hospitality jobs including bar work, housekeeping, waitressing, barista in venues from high end hotels to local pubs.
- insurance underwriter

Animal experience:
- farm work from age 14-18 (feeding/watering/mucking out/herding)
- riding and handling horses since age 6 (although admittedly haven’t ridden for a couple of years)
- my family have had dogs, cats, rabbits etc since I was very young
