Hi I’m Izzy, 24 from England. I have used Workaway in the past for a 6 month trip to Canada where I worked on ranches, kennels, farms. Worked throughout calving season, lambing season, -40 degree weather to feed animals so not afraid of hard work ! Happiest when outside surrounded by nature, and looking for a change from ‘normal’ life in the UK. Animal lover so enjoy spending as much time as possible with all types, I’m hard working and always happy to learn. I have had pets all of my life and I've worked with horses for 10 years, all aspects of care. Being outdoors is my ideal workaway and through previous stays I've learnt many new skills surrounding home/farm maintenance and DIY.

I'm grateful to have stayed with Len and Michelle, I felt very welcome and they are great cooks - I really appreciated the extra effort for vegetarian meals. I enjoyed working and spending time with all of the animals, especially the calves! The work varied everyday so I learnt a lot, and the ranch is a beautiful place to live. It was a unique… read more

Izzy was a wonderful workaway and person to have here, we enjoyed having her here! Izzy always was on time and did what was asked and often went above and beyond our expectation. I had such a lovely time staying with Hillary and Sebastian, they are wonderful hosts ! The location is beautiful, such stunning views and surrounded by nature, and it's a great feeling to be out with the herd. I had the best couple of months staying with Barb & Brad, I was sad to leave ! The farm is lovely, and I learnt so many new things during my time here. Izzy was a great work away guest. Always willing and very able to do any task we suggested. She was fun and eager to participate in whatever we had planned. Izzy was very good with the horses and sheep. Izzy is a real animal lover We had lots of laughs moving lambs that did not know how to lead!
