Hi there we're a family of 4 from England, husband and wife Rob and Katie and our 2 boys aged 7 and 11.
We are at the beginning of a round the world adventure to learn new skills, meet new people, make new friends and open our minds to new experiences.
We love to grow our own food and Rob is a very experienced horticulturalist most recently working at an organic market garden. Katie is a nurse with a passion for cooking from scratch using her own produce. We both enjoy DIY projects and have renovated a number of houses. We love animals and have experience with keeping sheep, geese and chickens and dogs.
The purpose of our trip is to show our boys that life is for living, to give them confidence to step out of their comfort zone and gain skills and experience that you can't get in the classroom.
Rob volunteers as a marshall at a local race circuit and we have both previously volunteered for our local town 'in bloom' group.

Gardening - Rob has 20 years experience in horticulture and Katie owned her own cut flower business. We all like to grow our own produce.
DIY and maintenance - Rob services all his own machinery and tools from secateurs to a ride on lawnmower.
Cooking - Katie lives to cook, especially using her own produce for the garden.
