We are a fit and active couple that are interested in experiencing French culture. Gerald has long had a love for old buildings and their history. He loves restoring old things to make them beautiful and useful again. Ginette is an avid gardener who is happiest when digging in the dirt. She is also an able and invaluable assistant when we tackle renovation projects around our home.

Gerald is a home renovation contractor with experience in framing, drywalling and plastering, tiling, plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring, finish carpentry, cabinetry and furniture building. Ginette is not afraid of hard work. She has many years of vegetable and flower gardening experience and is keen to expand her knowledge of horticulture.

This was our first Workaway experience and we could not have hoped for better. Bill and Anette were incredible hosts. Gerald and Ginette arrived from Canada. They immediately picked up ongoing projects and did an amazing job of finishing them. In the apartment we’re currently working on, Gerald carefully carpentered and painted the cabinets and doors, while Ginette installed the tomettes (hand-made terra cotta floor tile).
